TRUE GIVING AT CHRISTMAS

Marcus was at Wal-Mart over the weekend. He picked up the last Bumble Bee Transformer. He really, really wanted that Bumble Bee Transformer. There was a lady at the store that wanted it too and there wasn't another one anywhere. Without hesitation, Marcus handed the toy to the lady and said, "Merry Christmas." Before Marcus and his aunt were ready to leave the lady found them in the store. She had bought the Bumble Bee Transformer and she gave it back to Marcus.

POPCORN TREATS

Molly and Madison surprised their classmates by using their own allowance and birthday money to buy their entire class popcorn at lunch. What a great way to show kindness and generosity. We are so proud of both of you!

TAGGED WITH SWEETS

I was "tagged" on Friday, November 16 with a note and a piece of candy from a 5th grader. It's nice to know someone thought of me. It made me smile! Needless to say I am doing my part to PAY IT FORWARD by "tagging" others with words of kindness and a tiny sweet treat.

A Gift From The Heart

Quanace visited the first annual book swap at Stone Academy. He handed his tickets and two Cinderella books to the clerk. When asked if he might want to pick out another book so he didn't have two identical stories, Quanace stated that these were for his two sisters. Instead of choosing a book for himself, he decided that he wanted to give something special to his family. We are so proud of Quanace for being so kindhearted and sweet.

HUG

Last week I was tagged with kindness by my daughter, Anna. She explained the kindness card to me & urged me to pass on the kindness. My card was presented with a hug … which joins the frequent letters Anna writes to me and others to express her feelings & to encourage.

Anna is a happy 8 year old who is full of life. She enjoys her friends & making others smile & laugh. Her favorite subject is math. She likes to journal, do cartwheels, act, sing, cook, and swim & play the piano. She wants to learn to play the guitar and take cheerleading. Anna wakes up happy everyday. And, everyday Anna prays for those in need. We are blessed by Anna.

P.S. I will be passing along my kindness card this week.

Mrs. Johnson's Class

Mrs. Johnson's class decided to give notes and special treats to other students and teachers throughout the school. It was amazing to see all the smiling faces and surprised looks on children and faculty members' faces. Thanks, Mrs. Johnson's class. You really know how to "Pay it Forward!"

Kindness Tag

I was tagged yesterday with a sweet note and a piece of candy from a former student. The student was in fifth grade.
What a neat idea!
Thanks,

Susan

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Thanks for visiting and hopefully sharing how you were tagged with kindness! The students at Stone Academy of Communication Arts in Greenville, SC want to encourage others to demonstrate kindness to others. Our idea is much like the "Pay it Forward" movement because our plan is to "tag" someone with an act of kindness and have that person pass it on!

Please join us on our journey to pass on kindness to others. We would love for you to share your thoughts with us and tell us about a kind act that you received as a result of our movement.
